Greetings, silliness & some cool down. :)

Last night, I created these cards. The heart is acrylic and the patterened paper is MM. The flowers in the "HI!" note were cut from Basic Grey Urban Prairie Ladybug paper, and coordinated with some teal from the MME Dreamy Line.

But, I really mixed things up with this fun layout featuring my silly son , Kurt. The spyrograph was cut and layered with some Little Yellow Bicycle, and foam adhesive. The layout includes the opposing side to that teal MME paper, (the green,),

more Little Yellow Bicycle, Jenni Bowlin, and A2Z.

Finally, I am including this layout that I finished today using a sketch by Jennifer2S, using some recent scraps:

Thanks for stopping by. Please say hello!

Cardboard Altered Mantel Clock

This was a fun project! Trying to do something different, I came up with a cardboard mantel clock. This clockface stamp and glossy accents were my starting point:

I stamped the image onto white cardstock with Versamark watermark stamp pad, and used a gold tinsel embossing powder. I cut it out into a circle and matted it with gold metallic paper. Then, I covered the whole image with glossy accents to give it a covered glass appearance. This is the result:

Then, I wanted to make a template for the body of the clock. I googled "mantel clock" to get a picture of one. I used a Creative Memories circle to get the top part perfectly symmetrical, and hand drew one side:

Once I finished one side I cut it out & traced it upside down on the other side, again to

maintain the symmetry.

I cut two strips of cardboard 2&1/4" wide for the top. I traced the cardboard onto patterned paper before putting the clock together.

I taped it altogether underneath with black masking tape. (It doesn't look pretty and you really cannot see any details from the photo. It took alot of tears and frustration to get it attached correctly. When the assembly was complete, I cut and adhered the patterned paper, clock face and trim. The trim really came in handy to hide any imperfections! I hope you like it.

Baby Shower Gift Wall Hanging

We are having a shower for my husband's Second Cousin's wife, Katie, tonight. Their nursery is mostly khaki with lots of mossy green accents & a few subltle yellow, pink & blue accents. I thought this line would be a perfect fit. So, I made a dimensional wall hanging to dress up the room. It is 22"x 22" & made with foam board & foam adhesives. I hope they like it!

My Mind's Eye Sketch Challenge

The only non-MME items on this layout are the adhesive, inks, two brads and ribbon. I hope that you like it. It was hard to cut up these papers! :-)

Here is a close up of the fringe flower. I added a rub-on to the die cut from the Laundry Line:

I cannot believe that I had forgotten to include this layout in the My Mind's Eye Abbey Road Stomp collection. I used just about every scrap from that collection,...11 layouts. I just came across this one when I was uploading images to a gallery. I was lovin the funky slant that I came up with as I was trying to finalize the layout. Now to try to add it to my slideshow. TFL!! Have a marvelous day!

Hello! Glad to be back home from a long Nova Scotia vacation. All my vacation photos are on 35 mm film so they will have to be shown later....but it was beautiful. I just love all the quaint harbors with colorful lobster boats!....And the gorgeous rocky coasts!
I'm not yet unpacked; but, I was eager to get back to my scraproom. I completed these two layouts, today, with the two most recent Pencil Lines sketches:

I just LOVE the photo of Jason with the PSU Dance Team,...he was all giddy!!! :-) The papers are WRMK - MVP.
The picture of Kurt is an old one but I loved it for some new Dream Street, Websters Pages & Graphic 45 red, white & blue pps.
