Epcot Family Photo

Kurt was pretty shy at the start of our Disney trip when he was four.  Jason, at six, was more than willing to pose for the camera or visit a character.  It was challenging, at first to get photographs.  However, by the end of trip Kurt was being silly with Goofy right along with Jason.  Great memories!

When I looked at the swirly blue paper that I used in the layout above, I thought of Disney.  I used that fun paper from deep in my stash along with additional picks from my June Counterfeit Kit.

I created the layout for Sketches in Thyme using a Brenda Ragsdale sketch:
I rotated the sketch for the papers but kept the photo placement similar. I kind of did my own thing then with the title and embellishments.  Hope you like it!

Also, a couple little scrapbooking tips that I incorporated into posts have gone up on The ScrapRoom Blog this month. Yesterdays post is about using an embossing punch for journaling.  The other post this month provides tips on creating dimension on a fairly flat page.  I used the sticker tip on today's layout, as well, and added some threads underneath. You will probably see more of my use of the threads under stickers to come. I love the look that the threads provide along with the ability to add additional color with them.

It's proving to be a busy Summer with the boys home.  My scrapbooking time is taking a hit.  At least I am getting some photo opps!  The challenge of getting teens to cooperate, however, is just as challenging as it was when they were little, albeit different. In fact, I think that it is more difficult to get good photographs now.  The boys are either making silly faces or rebelling my nerdy requests for poses. Hope your doing better with the photographs and the scrapbooking.

Blessings!

Pages With Pink Paislee Atlas

When you purchase a Flavor of the Month Kit at the ScrapRoom, the kit includes four recipes for the kit.  These recipes are instructions for the two page layouts -- one from each line.  The line that I covered for June was Pink Paislee Atlas.  I included in my layout a journal box that utilized most of the stickers that came with add-on.  It helped me tell the story.

Thanks for looking!  Hope that you have a great weekend!!

Pages With Crate Paper Craft Market

My friend, Shelly, whom I recently met through our English Bulldog love connections has a beautiful daughter, Tallia.  Along with Shelly's amazing photographs, I created the first three pages pictured here.  The colors in the photographs worked very well with the Crate Paper line in this month's Flavor of the Month Kit at The ScrapRoom.

Have a great day!!

Pages and Cards With American Crafts Shimelle True Stories

Above are the projects that I made with the American Crafts line from the June 2015 Flavors of the Month Kit at the ScrapRoom.  I love the colors in this line, especially the bright yellow, navy blue and soft green.  The die cuts are fun and trendy. (Top Right in image below)

Our Home Is Your Home

I had fun making this second layout with the Echo Park line from the June 2015 Flavors of the Month Kit.  A mourning dove couple nests on our front porch every year.  They have 3-4 broods of 1 or 2 babies every season.  They make a filthy mess but we love them anyway.  I paper pieced the house to match the houses in one of the prints on the papers.

Take care!

The ScrapRoom June 2015 Flavor of the Month and Sketch

This layout used the sketch that Tammy picked for the designers to use this month from Pagemaps:

Welcome to the Neighborhood

The ScrapRoom June 2015 Flavor of the Month Kit is up and available for sale.  I will be posting the cards and layouts that I made with the kit throughout the early part of the month.  My first feature is a card that I created with the Echo Park Paper Our Family line.

I created it with a sketch from the Viva La Verve blog:
I will be dropping the card off with a housewarming kit to our new neighbors this week.

Hope that you have a marvelous day!!!
