Kurt was pretty shy at the start of our Disney trip when he was four. Jason, at six, was more than willing to pose for the camera or visit a character. It was challenging, at first to get photographs. However, by the end of trip Kurt was being silly with Goofy right along with Jason. Great memories!
When I looked at the swirly blue paper that I used in the layout above, I thought of Disney. I used that fun paper from deep in my stash along with additional picks from my June Counterfeit Kit.
I created the layout for Sketches in Thyme using a Brenda Ragsdale sketch:
I rotated the sketch for the papers but kept the photo placement similar. I kind of did my own thing then with the title and embellishments. Hope you like it!
Also, a couple little scrapbooking tips that I incorporated into posts have gone up on The ScrapRoom Blog this month. Yesterdays post is about using an embossing punch for journaling. The other post this month provides tips on creating dimension on a fairly flat page. I used the sticker tip on today's layout, as well, and added some threads underneath. You will probably see more of my use of the threads under stickers to come. I love the look that the threads provide along with the ability to add additional color with them.
It's proving to be a busy Summer with the boys home. My scrapbooking time is taking a hit. At least I am getting some photo opps! The challenge of getting teens to cooperate, however, is just as challenging as it was when they were little, albeit different. In fact, I think that it is more difficult to get good photographs now. The boys are either making silly faces or rebelling my nerdy requests for poses. Hope your doing better with the photographs and the scrapbooking.
Blessings!

Those bright and happy colors are a great match for a fun Disney page! I really like the stripes, the long title and those adorable whimsical cameras...off now to check out your tips.
ReplyDeleteLOVE your take on the sketch, Janine and how you used the white words here and there! Also cute little camera. You must have been away on vacation again. Been missing you!
